Redesign of Logos Answers Website

The major project I’ve been working on for the past few months is a redesign of our Logos Answers website. For the past two years, we’ve been operating off our original site. It was functional. We could post lessons, both articles and videos. We could make it available in many languages. But frankly, when I originally developed it, I just wanted to get something up quick, and I really wasn’t sure what direction it would ultimately go in. Now after two years of learning what works well and what doesn’t, I had a much better idea of what I wanted the site to be.

If you haven’t checked it out yet, now would be a good time to do it. Just go to logosanswers.org on your computer or mobile device.

What do you think?  Here is what you should’ve noticed. First, it is much easier and more intuitive to navigate. If you’re a non-believer searching for the truth, you can quickly find lessons on an important topic that you’re wondering about. Second, articles and videos are all together in the same place. Third, it is easier to switch between languages. And fourth (more important for me on the backend), everything is more structured and organized so that we can deploy new languages faster. Now, our next goal is to add more content that will help non-believers find out the truth about the Gospel of Jesus in their own native language. (Big thanks to Lincoln Waddell who helped with the website coding and to our translators throughout the world who have helped with reviewing the changes.)

Logos Answers in Telugu

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Telugu version of our Logos Answers website, Facebook page, and YouTube channel. Telugu is spoken by over 96 million people, primarily in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and is one of the fastest-growing languages in the United States. Translating into Telugu presents a significant opportunity to reach out to non-Christian Telugu speakers both in India and around the world. In India, we can provide an evangelism tool to gospel preachers to reach out to their Hindu friends and neighbors, especially among the younger generation. Since odds are good that you work with or know someone from India who speaks Telugu, this can also be a helpful evangelism tool for you to use as well. People among the Hindu religion are generally very peaceful and agreeable to Christian morals. Unfortunately, they worship false gods. Many from the younger generation have taken traditional idolatry less seriously than their parents, but they also have a new idol in the form of ambition and materialism. But in either case, we must teach them a better object of worship in our loving Savior Jesus Christ, and the One True God. And the best way to do so is in their own native language. (Big thanks to the congregations who specifically contributed to this Telugu work and to the Hindi work, coming soon.)

India School of Preaching

One of the many good works focused on taking the gospel to Hindus and Muslims in India is the school of preaching I have been teaching for over Zoom. I cannot say much about it here because of persecution that could result from making this information available online. However, I have spent an increasing amount of time teaching these brothers and sisters over Zoom. The students are always deeply engaged, and they ask thoughtful questions. The director of the school is a native who was converted by the preaching of JC Choate, and he is incredibly committed to training the next generation of Christian preachers in India. My translator is excellent, and he does most of the hard work! This month, we are teaching a course on the missionary journeys of Paul, and the students have given much positive feedback on the topic and the translation of the content for the course.

Love,
